**Beginning July 2013, all grain servings will be calculated using 16 grams of creditable grain ingredients to provide 1 oz. equivalent credit. In past years, grain/bread servings were calculated at 14.75 grams of grains per unit. For SY2012-13 sponsors can use either method. By using the 16 grams = 1 oz. equivalent method, schools may find that they are able to offer more grain choices to students in the school meal programs.
